The increasing use and dependence on electrical and electronic gadgets like mobile phones, computers, laptops, servers, data storage devices, photocopy machines, televisions, washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, etc., has resulted in the generation of large quantities of E-waste.
E-Waste refers to waste of electrical and electronic equipment, whole or in part, or rejects from their manufacturing and repair process, which are intended to be discarded.
In recognition of this issue, the E-waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 have been notified with the primary objective of channelizing the E-waste generated in the country for environmentally sound recycling. Currently, the unorganized sector handles a significant portion of E-waste, adopting crude practices that result in higher pollution and less recovery, causing wastage of precious resources and damage to the environment.

Hence, it is highly recommended to recycle all end-of-life electronic items safely and appropriately. CMI is proud to partner with a government-approved e-waste recycler to make this easy for customers. To dispose of e-waste, customers can simply call the toll-free numbers 1800-3011-1111 or 1800-3000-0011 and register their request for the collection of e-waste from their doorsteps.
All products manufactured, imported, or sold by CMI alone can be recycled through the program. If you want to recycle products of other companies, then kindly contact the authorized recycler of the concerned company.
Consumers do not have to pay any money either to CMI or its authorized recycler for the collection and disposal of their products. Infact, after proper evaluation, our authorized recycler will pay the value of the product to you.
Our authorized recycler has a pan-India presence and products can be disposed of/collected from your doorsteps across all locations in India.
It will take approximately 7-10 days for the authorized recycler to come and collect the product from your premises. However, the period may vary depending on the location. CMI being a mere facilitator shall not be responsible for any delay in this regard.
For safety reasons, the product needs to be handed over to our authorized recycler only.
